Hodess Cleanrooms was contracted by Semma Therapeutics to provide design assistance and a turnkey installation of their first GMP cleanroom facility in Providence, R.I. The cleanroom is being used for early phase Cell Therapy Production. The project included installation of Plascore Pharma Walls, doors, windows; new HVAC and mechanical systems; epoxy flooring and certification. In addition to the cleanrooms, HCC completed the HVAC installation for their lab spaces and built and ISO 8 cleanroom for manufacturing of Semma’s cell delivery device.
Upon completion of the project, Semma installed Biospherix isolator units, which provide a closed ISO 5 environment for manufacturing of clinical grades products. Their isolator units allow for future expansions and diversification while providing constant monitoring of temperature, pressure, CO2 and O2 levels.
